It’s not a problem. As long as you are happy to walk, cycle or use public transport!

Yes of course, experience is not essential. We provide all training and shadow shifts.

We have both lone working and double handed shifts.

We’ll need to see a copy of either a valid UK passport if you have one, or your residence permit/right-to-work documents if you hold a different passport. Being able to drive isn’t essential to working with Care In Kent, but if you do have a full driving licence, we’d love to see that too, along with your birth certificate.

In order to complete our ID checks we will also need to see two forms of ‘proof of address’ that are dated within the last three months, eg: Council Tax bill,/utilities bill/letter from HMRC.

At Care In Kent we support and help each other as part of a team, putting the safety and well-being of our clients first and making sure that every new member is well-equipped to take on a caring role with confidence. Part of creating and ensuring that team dynamic is in providing practical training in assisting our clients with their personal care, in handling and moving someone safely, as well as training in first-aid and medication.

We also provide training in caring for those who are living with conditions such as dementia and epilepsy…as well as how best to care for those who are receiving end of life care.
